We drove to Detroit, stayed over in a cheap (and pretty terrible ha) hotel, took random flights all over the U.S. and arrived in San Francisco around the same time at Avis Car Rental! The rental guy was quite hilarious and couldn't stop talking about wild road racers. Tired, but so excited to be in California!!
